This is tiny canvas (10x12cm) is for the Imago MUNDI project in Scotland, which is part of a massive international collection begun by Luciano Benetton. Artists are asked to donate a tiny canvas (all of identical size) to be included in the collection representing their country. These canvases will go on a touring exhibition & also be included in a printed volume showcasing artists from each country. Many collections have already been completed and the printed volumes look fantastic – I am looking forward to seeing the Scottish contribution!!

I had a fantastic time taking part in the “Sky Arts Landscape Painter of the year” television series this July. We had fantastic weather, breathtaking scenery and I shared a great experience with some lovely arty people, judges and film crew included.
The filming took place at Wray Castle in the lake District, Cumbria, overlooking Lake Windermere. Definitely somewhere I would like to visit again and paint. At the end of the 4 hours, this is what I ended up with…

MARIE CURIE ART FOR CARE EXHIBITION
My three paintings in this exhibition are all sold and off to new homes!
Well done to Glasgow Art Club for providing the lovely venue and forgoing commission – all commission raised will be going to the Marie Curie cancer charity.

This is literally the road home for me, but actually I’m cheating slightly because it’s in the opposite direction! It feels like summer is on it’s way.
That was a short-lived spring…back to snow again. I think this image is appropriate for the day.
